Sanatan Sewa – Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Sanatan Sewa mobile app and the website sanatansewa.com (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Sanatan World Pvt. Ltd., Kathmandu, Nepal ("Sanatan Sewa", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use Sanatan Sewa
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. The Service is not directed at children.
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date, and you may hold only one customer account.
2. What the Service is
- Sanatan Sewa is a marketplace that connects you with independent astrologers, Jyotish, Vastu and puja experts ("Astrologers") for live one-to-one consultations by chat, voice call and video call.
- Astrologers are independent practitioners, not our employees. Each Astrologer is responsible for the advice they give. We do not guarantee any reading, prediction or outcome.
- We also sell puja items and other physical products for delivery, and offer free tools such as horoscopes, Kundali, match-making and the Nepali calendar.
3. Your account
- You can sign up with your email address or with Google or Apple sign-in. Keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you think your account has been used without your permission.
4. Consultations
- Consultations are booked for a time slot with the Astrologer you choose and take place live inside the app. Voice and video calls are streamed in real time and are not recorded by us. Chat messages are stored so that both of you can see the conversation.
- Information you share with an Astrologer (for example your birth details or photos) is shared so that they can give you the consultation.
- Do not ask Astrologers to move a paid consultation or payment outside the Service. Astrologers must not ask you to do so.
5. Prices and payments
- Prices are shown in Nepalese Rupees (NPR) unless stated otherwise, before you pay.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers: eSewa, Khalti and NIC Asia Bank (Visa / Mastercard card payments). Cash on Delivery is available for physical orders where offered. Your wallet or card details are entered on the payment provider's page; we do not see or store your full card number or wallet PIN.
- Payments are made only for live consultations with Astrologers and for physical products. The app does not sell subscriptions, virtual currency or other digital content.
6. Cancellations and refunds
- You can cancel a consultation from the app before it starts, where the cancel option is shown.
- If a consultation you paid for does not take place because the Astrologer did not attend or because of a technical problem on our side, or if a product arrives damaged, incorrect or not at all, contact us at [email protected] with your order or booking reference. We review each request and, where a refund is due, return it to the original payment method where possible.
- Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of Nepal.
7. User content and acceptable use – zero tolerance
"User content" is anything you send or upload through the Service, including chat messages, images, files, voice notes, profile information, reviews and ratings. You are responsible for your user content. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not use the Service to post, send or share content that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates or abuses anyone, or promotes violence or self-harm;
- is sexually explicit, pornographic or sexually suggestive, or involves minors in any way;
- is hateful or discriminatory based on religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other characteristic;
- is defamatory, deceptive or fraudulent, including scams, phishing, impersonation and requests for money or payment outside the Service;
- is spam, advertising or unsolicited promotion;
- infringes anyone's privacy, copyright or other rights, or shares another person's personal information without their consent;
- is illegal, or promotes illegal activity, black magic intended to harm others, or dangerous practices.
Astrologers must also not promise guaranteed results, claim to cure illness or infertility, give lottery or gambling numbers, or tell users to stop medical treatment.
By posting user content you give us a non-exclusive licence to store, transmit and display it only as needed to operate the Service, and to review it for safety and legal reasons.
8. Reporting, blocking and moderation
- You can report a user or a message from the menu inside any chat (and, where available, report an Astrologer from their profile page). You can also block a user from the chat menu; a blocked user cannot send you messages.
- You can also report content or users by email to [email protected].
- Our team reviews reports within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these Terms and suspend or permanently remove the account of the user who posted it. We may also report illegal content to the authorities.
- We may review reported conversations to investigate a report.
9. Astrology disclaimer
Astrology, Vastu, palm reading, horoscopes and related services are provided for spiritual guidance and entertainment. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and no outcome is guaranteed. Always consult a qualified professional for health, legal or financial decisions. Free tools such as the love calculator are for entertainment only.
10. Products and puja items
- We try to describe and show products accurately, but colours and images may vary slightly. Delivery times shown are estimates.
- Please check your order on delivery and contact us as soon as possible if anything is wrong.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close any account, remove content, or restrict access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe a user has broken these Terms or the law, or to protect other users. You can stop using the Service at any time.
12. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or at https://sanatansewa.com/delete-account. Deletion removes your profile and personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Transaction records we must keep by law are retained in de-identified form.
13. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text and logos, belongs to Sanatan Sewa or its licensors. You may use it only for your personal, non-commercial use as allowed by these Terms.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for advice given by Astrologers, for decisions you make based on a consultation, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim relating to a consultation or order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for important changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using the Service after the change, you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.
